GROUNDBREAKING MAYHEM FROM TROPICALIA LODESTARS OS MUTANTES WITH CLUB-LAND TEARAWAY JD TWITCH (OPTIMO):

Glasgow’s insurgent Optimo hoedown is one of Europe’s most notorious club nights. Its protagonists JD Twitch and JG Wilkes have instigated searing weekly aural orgies from the likes of Franz Ferdinand, ESG, The Long Blondes and The Go! Team since 1997, while their pop-lubed, synth humped, punk-struck dogma propels their DJ sets to clamouring rapture.

Their recent, excellent Walkabout compilation – a rare release via Japan’s new Endless Flight enterprise – synthesised industrial, techno, warped-rock and minimal house over a truly spleen-shattering
track-list that included Suicide’s ‘Radiation’, Black Dice’s ‘Manoman’, and Boris’ ‘My Machine’.

JD Twitch’s celebrious remix credits, meanwhile, include Franz Ferdinand, The Gossip and Pharoahe Monch.
